I joined a startup Safari Company in Tanzania. Giving me first hand experience in building and running a safari company. I also guided extensively, whilst developing marketing material and liaising with lodges/support companies and clients.
However, the afternoon glow of the Serengeti and Mara regions many natural wonders and shimmering sunsets, bore an irresistible calling to photograph and record these powerful images and life changing encounters. I found the age old art of painting with light fulfill a creative urge within. The culmination of which saw Myself and my wife & business partner Nicole, hosting a photographic exhibition. Showcasing my contemporary African style on my odyssey of wildlife and travel photography through exotic locations such as Tanzania, Namibia, Madagascar, Botswana, Cape Town and Zanzibar in January 2007.

A photographers’ eye also notices the beauty in seemingly arbitrary and inanimate things; by introducing you to this micro world creates an awareness of the infinite diversity in Nature, enriching your safari like no other.

I am a South African Citizen, born September 1954, with Permanent Residence and work permits for Botswana, I’m based mostly in Maun, Botswana and run a small mobile Camping Safari operation, Papadi Safaris & Tours with Offices in Maun, Johannesburg and Windhoek.
I have been guiding full time since 1993 throughout Southern Africa including Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa and Uganda. Papadi Safaris is Registered as a Mobile Safari operator in Botswana and as such I can LEGALLY guide and conduct tours in any of the National Parks and Game Reserves in Botswana. Papadi is also registered as a Tour Facilitator in Namibia and I am a DEAT registered Field aswell as Trails Guide in SA.
Bottom line I have more than 17 Years experience guiding Tours and Safaris mainly in Big 5 wilderness areas. I’m an avid Twitcher and Wildlife Photographer.
The Services we offer are:
1) Freelance Guiding and, 2) Full tour packages, from mobile camping in Botswana’s National Parks and the Okavango Delta through to Luxury Lodge or Safari Camp holliday packages throughout Southern Africa, with no restrictions on group size, be it a photographer wanting a private and exclusive individual photo Safari, or families, groups of friends whatever wanting a tour designed, booked and hosted to suite their specific preferances , budget and interests.
