  • Martin Meyer - professional photographer, 4x4 safari and qualified Field Guide, sought after consultant and adventurer. 15 Years Experience guiding in South Africa, Tanzania, Namibia, Madagascar, Botswana and Zanzibar.

I joined a startup Safari Company in Tanzania. Giving me first hand experience in building and running a safari company. I also guided extensively, whilst developing marketing material and liaising with lodges/support companies and clients.

However, the afternoon glow of the Serengeti and Mara regions many natural wonders and shimmering sunsets, bore an irresistible calling to photograph and record these powerful images and life changing encounters. I found the age old art of painting with light fulfill a creative urge within. The culmination of which saw Myself and my wife & business partner Nicole, hosting a photographic exhibition. Showcasing my contemporary African style on my odyssey of wildlife and travel photography through exotic locations such as Tanzania, Namibia, Madagascar, Botswana, Cape Town and Zanzibar in January 2007.

Returning to Cape Town to raise our family, I used my sharply honed skillset, and took up the challenge and opportunity to set up a now market leading Four Wheel Drive adventure/safari company. Please feel to contact me at or call me on 082 576 7002.

Our guiding and wildlife experience enhances yours, and we’ve learnt from years of experience that no two people expect the same thing when going on safari. Which is why we operate the way we do. Taking YOUR specific requirements into consideration whilst drawing on our extensive knowledge of the various areas, we design a tailored safari to deliver an experience to suit your needs.

What we love is creating unique photographic Safaris and we all have a very detailed understanding of animal behaviour. Most guides do, but how many guides are seasoned photographers and true, experienced naturalists, having trodden some of Africa’s most pristine and wild wildernesses? Due to this combination of skills, we know how to maximise viewing & photographic opportunities by taking a multitude of contributing factors into consideration when positioning or selecting our vantage-point. A photographers’ eye also notices the beauty in seemingly arbitrary and inanimate things; by introducing you to this micro world creates an awareness of the infinite diversity in Nature, enriching your safari like no other.

The philosophy: Our diverse experience in the Eco-Tourism industry has been growing since 1992 and has helped us to develop a holistic approach to interpreting the signs in nature. We’re steadfast in our professional principles, sensitive conduct and ethical convictions. Contact us on 082 906 3585 or email to

"Our mission is to passionately share our fascination with wildlife and nature in order to facilitate self-discovery and encourage environmental awareness in others."

  • Brett Horley - SKS Birding Guide, FGASA Level 3 Trails Guide, with 9 Years of Expereience, First Aid Level 2, PrDP and a Tracker Level 2 Qualification

Born and schooled in Johannesburg I first visited the Kruger National Park when I was 2 weeks old. Raised on a game farm in the North West province I have been an active birder my entire life and this has become my main focus and specialty in recent years. Having guided for the past 9 years I am a passionate all round naturalist, with an interest in each and every aspect of the natural world. Starting off as an apprentice Trails Guide in the Klaserie and Timbavati Private Game Reserves, walking trails gave me a foundation as a Safari Guide of which I am extremely grateful. I then spent 6 years in the world famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve at Lion Sands and Singita Private Game Reserves. My career then took me to Botswana and Tanzania where I trained guides and participated in many specialist photographic, birding and natural history safaris.

I am an extremely keen photographer using Nikon equipment and have been privileged to participate in photographic safaris in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. I have also travelled on 3 other continents, always visiting wild places and looking for birds. I am a FGASA Level 3 Trails Guide SKS Birding qualified guide, with PrDP, registered with DEAT, First Aid Level 2 , Tracker Level 2 and have attended numerous courses on birding, reptiles, photography etc.

I would love to spend time with you out in the “bush”! Contact/follow me at, or follow me on Twitter @BrettHorley or have a look through my website at
